It isn't hard to win over Woollypaw. He is gentle and caring for all those who deserve it. Though his heart belongs in the forest, his empathy and understanding reaches beyond the borders of his home and birthplace. He is very thoughtful and inquisitive, believing that while it is important to stick to the tradition of their ancestors and protect their land, there is no honor in making enemy in every outsider if there is an ally to be made instead. He connects well with those who are not eager to race into battle, and those who have redeemable qualities that inspire him to be a better cat and/or warrior. Bravery, loyalty, intelligence and mercy are the four qualities he tries to build himself upon, and any cat that shows these traits will quickly have a shadow molding fast to their form. Other than that, any cat who will tolerate him can be considered a friend by his standards, and Woollypaw will undoubtedly be loyal and faithful to them.

He who wishes to be an enemy, will be made an enemy. Only the most pig-headed, cruel and disrespectful cats can be called an enemy by Woollypaw's standards. It takes a lot of hateful behaviour for Woollypaw to give up on a cat completely. There is almost always an emotion and a story beneath the mask of hate, and this 'paw will try and try to find what lies behind that mask until it is proven to be a hopeless cause. Despite his patient determination in figuring out the troubled, Woollypaw's first loyalty comes to his clan, and if he must cast aside all his moral obligations to single out one clan as the enemy, he will. To him, it would not be the most ideal, but sometimes it is what has to be done to protect his home and the tradition of battle.

So easily does Woollypaw's heart open for love. Love as a brother, love as a lover, his affections are generous, strategic, genuine, and plentiful. He has a deep admiration for cats who are brave, not afraid to speak their mind, but do not spew thoughtless brewings of hate. His love, though so easily handed out, is hard to capture for oneself. Woollypaw's open admiration of others makes it hard for his admirers to tell when he means his actions romantically or platonically. Some may see that the apprentice's heart is simply too large to only allow a single cat to have it. Those who desire him will have to learn to share his affections. Woollypaw is greatly attracted to cats with a spark inside them, whether it is erupting from the pores or dwells hidden within. Intelligence and a wistfulness that makes a cat think beyond the boundaries of the warrior code inspire curiosity and great respect in Woollypaw; he will want to learn from those cats as much as he can, and learn all about them. One way to tell when Woollypaw has his eye on you is how talkative he becomes in your presence! Usually such a quiet and thoughtful boy might become an easily embarrassed and stuttering kitty. He will always try to impress his crushes and please them with whatever makes them happy, whether it be gifts, companionship, thoughtful discussion, or other.
